Pike’s Peak is a large two-story, three bedroom farmhouse, "Bed and Breakfast", available for rent. Guests have the entire house to themselves. Guest have their choice of breakfast items provided by the innkeepers. To check availability and reserve your stay, call us at : 765.793.4497 or 765.412.4321. You can also contact us via e-mail at jim.moffett@sbcglobal.net We have 3 upstairs bedrooms and one shared upstairs bathroom: Sunshine Room, Barns and Baseball Room, Hydrangea Room. A large Living Room with a gas fireplace and kitchen are on the first floor. The Dining room is furnished with a large center table that comfortably seats 8 to 10 people. There is also a small drop leafed antique cherry table for a more intimate setting in the bay window. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric stove and new refrigerator and microwave and is available for use by all guests. A continental breakfast is served or you may bring in your favorite breakfast items. An enclosed side porch with ceiling fan makes for a comfortable sitting area or relax on the front porch swing or chairs. The view is wide and stretches for miles. The sunsets and moon risings are absolutely free of charge! The History Thomas Moffett immigrated here from Ireland and homesteaded the land. The land was purchased from the land office in Crawfordsville in 1830. The current house was built in the early 1900’s by Gordon Moffett and has been recently remodeled. Gordon named the farm Pike’s Peak because it was the second highest elevation in Fountain County. Pike’s Peak sits on one and a half acres of beautiful yard, ready for yard games, putting golf balls or just relaxing on the front porch swing with a good book. When we’re not wearing our innkeeper hats, we operate a Garden Center at our Covington home. The Garden Center is open every day by appointment or chance. Just stop by or give us a call.
